Cave Artists from the Present Time?

In the past, here, I've presented various suggestions about cave art, even going so far as to hint that the very modern nature of such art might indicate time-traveling artists.

The December issue of Discover magazine has a piece [Page 18] entitled "Cave Painters Had a Leg Up on Modern Artists" which you can access by clicking this LINK:

  • This is an interesting article that seemingly is pertinent to direct experience versus observation from a distance or making critical assumptions based on how we think things "should" work. It reminds me of a time when I was dating my wife to be just driving around seeing the sights. At some point it was apparent we were lost in relation to our starting point. I said we had to turn North.
She said, "This does not look like North."
I said "What does North look like?"
    And so it goes.

  • I think the pertinent question would be: If Leonardo got it wrong back then, as according to the article, would he do differently today?
